Course Description:
Our course takes you on a journey through the beautiful and historic McConnell Air Force Base. You’ll get the chance to run alongside the flight line and see key buildings that support the unique Air Refueling Air Force mission as you make your way through the course. This 10K/5K walk/run is perfect for both experienced runners and beginners looking for a fun and challenging event.
Community Involvement
The McConnell Air Force Base Tanker Trot is all about building community relationships and generating funding for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Fund. As a non-appropriated fund for the Air Force, the MWR Fund must sustain itself through sponsorships, donations, and events like this one. We welcome runners and walkers of all levels from the community to join us and support this great cause.
Exclusive Access
Getting onto an Air Force Base is typically very difficult due to tight security. This event offers a unique opportunity to see the base up close, learn more about the operations of the Air Force, and run with Airmen in this rare setting. If you’d like to bring your cheering section, just make sure you get them signed up on our page for base access as well. If you have any questions, please call 316.759.4009.
