Experience a rare opportunity to run on the flightline at McConnell Air Force Base before the air show officially begins. This unique 5K gives you early access to the action—running alongside aircraft, air show setups, and the iconic Thunderbirds.

Tanker Trot FAQ
When is the registration deadline?
Registration is open from May 1 through September 27. All runners and spectators must register by this date.
Are refunds or cancellations allowed?
No refunds or cancellations will be issued.
Is there early bird registration?
Yes—early bird registration is available for the first 200 runners.
Is there a time limit?
Yes. All runners must complete the course within one hour.
What’s included in packet pickup?
- Race bib
- Spectator stickers (if purchased)

When is packet pickup?
Details will be announced and emailed to registered participants.
What ID do I need?
- U.S. citizens (18+): Real ID or passport
- Non-U.S. citizens (18+): Passport or permanent resident card
Will there be security screening?
- Yes. All individuals and belongings are subject to search.
What items are allowed?

Where/when do participants park?
Parking opens at 7:30 AM. All participants park in General Airshow Parking (Orange Lot at Cessna Field).
Is tailgating allowed?
No, tailgating is not permitted.
Will there be water stations on the course?
No. This is due to airfield safety (FOD prevention).
Are there awards?
Yes—top 3 male and female finishers in each age group receive plaques.
Will there be food available?
Yes—vendors will be onsite (credit cards accepted, no ATMs).
