The Tanker Trot
Course Description:
Whether you’re an avid runner or just looking for a unique experience, this is an event you won’t want to miss! The Tanker Trot takes place on McConnell Air Force Base during Airshow weekend, giving participants the rare opportunity to run a timed course through an active installation before the airshow opens to the public. For the first time ever, runners will take to the flight line itself—running past aircraft and the iconic Thunderbirds—making this a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Community Involvement
The McConnell Air Force Base Tanker Trot is all about building community relationships and generating funding for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Fund. As a non-appropriated fund for the Air Force, the MWR Fund must sustain itself through sponsorships, donations, and events like this one. We welcome runners and walkers of all levels from the community to join us and support this great cause.
Exclusive Access
This event gives you something far more exclusive: early access to the flightline before the gates open to the public. Tanker Trot participants get a rare opportunity to be on the flightline in the quiet hours of the morning, running alongside aircraft and taking in a perspective most attendees never experience.
