Child Care Resources

The CDC currently has a waitlist. The CDC provides full day care and drop in care. For care on a week by week basis, you may be able to rent a spot through our Kinderspot app (see below). If you would like to find off base care while you wait for a spot at the CDC, learn about MCCYN (see below).

School Age Care provides before and after school care during the school year and full day care during summer and school breaks.

Currently the SAC program only transports to certain schools in USD 260. Call SAC to find out if they transport to your child’s school. If SAC does not transport to your child’s school, most districts have Latchkey programs at various sites. The Derby Recreation Commission also has bussing services for those who have aged out of SAC. Open rec. Sign up directly at Youth Center located in housing. Smart Start Sports for preschool aged children is also available.

Annual membership fee: $48.

Provides both full time care and types of expanded care. They also participate in the DAF Subsidy program, pay what you would at the CDC! Trouble finding care? Want to stay home with your children but still earn income? FCC providers can get paid to watch their own children. Call the FCC office to learn more.

Kinderspot is a subletting app that allows parents to sublet childcare spaces at the CDC at week-long intervals. The rate you pay will be based on your family’s income, not the rate of the spot holder. Visit the app store to download the app.
