Lens and Landscape

Join us for a two-day photography experience featuring a beginner-friendly classroom workshop followed by a guided downtown Wichita photography walk.

Friday, May 15 | 5pm–8pm

Arts & Crafts Classroom Session

• Pizza provided
• Learn camera basics, lenses, settings, composition, and proportions
• Beginner-friendly instruction
• Highly encouraged for all participants to help keep pace during the downtown walk

Saturday, May 16 | 5pm–11pm

Downtown Wichita Photography Walk

• Explore Wichita’s historic buildings, murals, and Keeper of the Plains
• Guided photography instruction throughout the walk
• Stop at Norton’s Brewing Company with reserved patio seating
• Includes 2 half pours per participant (food not included)

Included with Registration

• Camera rental provided through AFSVC
• Participants may also bring their own camera equipment
• SD cards are yours to keep
• A few photos will be printed onsite during the brewery discussion and wrap-up session

Important Information

• 21+ only
• Expect up to 5 miles of walking
• Wear comfortable walking shoes
• Bring water and sun protection
• Participants are encouraged to eat beforehand or purchase dinner at the brewery
• Planned return to base is approximately 11pm
• Participants choosing to remain downtown after the event will be responsible for their own transportation
