McConnell Con is your ultimate celebration of comics, gaming, toys, anime, cosplay, and pop culture right here at McConnell AFB. We’re bringing together local comic artists, writers, cosplayers, and creators for a day packed with fandom fun.

As the only military base in Kansas to host an annual comic con, McConnell Con draws thousands of military-connected fans from across the region, including Air National Guard, Reserve, and Space Force members. It’s the go-to gathering for our community’s pop culture heroes.

Don’t miss this epic day of all things nerdy. Suit up in your best cosplay, grab your wands, lightsabers, or shields, and get ready to assemble for contests, gaming tournaments, and mind-blowing panels. This is your mission… and it’s going to be legendary.

Cosplay Contest | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Dole Center, Derby Room

Step into the spotlight and show off your best hero, villain, or original creation in our McConnell Con Cosplay Contest. Whether you’re a first-time cosplayer or a seasoned pro, this is your chance to suit up and assemble on stage.

Youth (12 & under) and Teen (13–17)
Prejudging: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Stage Walk: Begins at 1:00 PM

Adult (18+ DoD Only), Guest (18+ Non-DoD Only), Duo, and Group Categories
Prejudging: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Stage Walk: Begins at 5:00 PM

Each participant will have 30 seconds on stage to perform for a final score.

Stage walk participants must line up 10 minutes before prejudging concludes.

Bring your best look, strike your best pose, and get ready to assemble for an epic showdown of creativity and fandom.

The event is projected to bring thousands of military-affiliated fans from all over the Kansas region – including members of the Air National Guard, Reserves and Space Force.
