McConnell AFB families now have access to a new Department of Defense (DoD) website designed to simplify and improve the child care request for care process. (MCC) provides a single online gateway for families to access military-operated or military-subsidized child care options worldwide across all Services. The site enables families to create a household profile, conduct child care searches, submit requests for care and manage their requests at any time and from any location. Through, eligible families can search and request care for full day and part day options in facility-based and home-based programs for children from birth through age 12. Families may remain on a preferred program’s waitlist even after being offered care or enrolling in another program. Visit or call 759-4223/6859 for more information.

Give Parents a Break & Parents Night Out

Do you need time to recharge and relax?  Give Parents a Break and Parents Night Out are for you!  Each month, we’ll watch your children (ages 0-12) at the CDC and give you time to rejuvenate from your daily life.  Which program is right for you?

Give Parents a Break is ONLY open to those with deployed family members or those going through a rough time.  Funded by the Air Force Aid Society, this program provides FREE childcare on the day of the program.  In order to receive the free childcare, you must obtain a voucher from the Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) OR from your First Sergeant, and then sign up no later than the Wednesday prior to the event.  To register, call the CDC at (316) 759-4223.  All children participating in Give Parents a Break must have current immunizations, including the flu shot, and complete registration paperwork at the CDC prior to the event.

Parents Night Out is open to all active duty, Guard, Reserve, or DoD civilian families needing a night (or day!) out.  Open to children ages 0 – 12, Parents Night Out is $19 per child and runs at the same time as Give Parents a Break.  Parents Night Out reservations open on the Thursday prior to the event and are on a space-available basis.  All children participating in Parent’s Night out must have current immunizations, including the flu shot, and complete registration paperwork at the CDC prior to the event.
