The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is an integrated component program consisting of EFMP-Family Support (FS), EFMP-Medical and EFMP-Assignments. The program exists to ensure medical and educational services required are available for exceptional family members during the assignments process.

What is an exceptional family member? An exceptional family member is a family member (child or adult) with any physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disability that requires special treatment, therapy, or education.

The medical component to this program is at the McConnell Medical Clinic, (316) 759-3065. This is where your exceptional family member is identified through EFMP Medical, Special Needs Coordinator at 316-759-2713. The clinic also offers TRICARE and ECHO enrollment and inquires, case management, and specialized health care assistance.

The Family Support component is located in the Airman & Family Readiness Center. The EFMP-FS offers information and referral on special needs resources, programs, and other offerings. The EFMP-FS Coordinator will be happy to assist you at (316) 759-6020. To sign up to receive information on the EFMP programs and events, send an email to 22FSS.EFMP.MCCONNELL@US.AF.MIL. Indicate if you are active duty, retired or DoD civilian EFMP. Priority for programs is for active duty Qcoded families, but open to retired, and DoD civilian families as well.
