Relay Race

The relay race is  a competition in completing 7 different obstacles in the fastest time.  Four teams will compete at a time and each team will consist of 4 players.  Each team member will do 2 different obstacles of choice. However, one team member will not be able to do 2 obstacles consecutively. The team with the fastest time overall, wins.

Volunteers Needed: 9

One person signs up for the whole team.

Rules/obstacles:

  • (1) Sack Race – Player will sack hop (must hop, no walking/running) from one to another and will tag the next player.
  • (2) Ball Between Legs – Player will place a ball between the knees and will walk/run from one cone to another.  If the ball is dropped, the player has to start over.  Player will tag the next person when he/she reaches the ending cone.
  • (3) Crab Walk – Player will crab walk from one cone to another.  Player will tag the next person when he/she reaches the ending cone.
  • (4) Egg on a Spoon – Player will race from one cone to another holding an egg on a spoon.  Objective is to not drop the egg.  If the egg is broken/dropped, the player will start over.  Player will tag the next person when he/she reaches the ending cone.
  • (5) Flip Cup – There will be 3 cups right side up lined up on the table. The player must flip each cup upside down by flicking the bottom of the cup.  Once all the cups are flipped upside down on the table, Player will tag the next person.
  • (6) Water Balloon Toss – This race will require 2 players.  The two players will be facing each other about 10ft and will toss a water balloon back and forth while side stepping from one cone to another.  The balloon must be tossed at least 7 times by each player.  If the balloon is busted/dropped, the players must start over.  The next player will start the next obstacle when the players tossing the balloon reaches the end cone.
  • (7) Sprint – Just as it says… The last team member will sprint to the finish line.
