Pillowcase Project: Emergency Preparedness
May 31 @ 1:30 PM - 4:00 PMFree
What would YOU do if disaster strikes? Preparation is key for all ages, even if you are a kid! On 31 May the Airman & Family Readiness Center invites youth grades 3-6 to the Pillowcase Project, a special class in emergency preparedness for kids! Join us from 1:30-2:30pm & 3-4PM pm at the Airman & Family Readiness Center as we discuss natural hazards and how to stay safe by preparing ahead of time. During the class, we’ll also create our own emergency supply kits with essential items loaded in a pillowcase so that children can transport them easily during a disaster.
Session I from 1:30-2:30pm will be held for grades 3-4.
Session II from 3:00-4:00pm will be held for grades 5-6
This Pillowcase Project class is FREE but please register by 29 May! For more information or to register please contact the Airman & Family Readiness Center at (316) 759-6020.
