Pillowcase Project: Emergency Preparedness for Kids
May 31, 2018 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
What would YOU do if disaster strikes? Preparation is key for all ages, even if you are a kid! On Thursday, 31 May, join the Airman & Family Readiness Center for the Pillowcase Project, a special class in emergency preparedness for kids! Join us from 2 – 3 p.m. in the Airman Family Readiness Classroom as we discuss natural hazards that can happen and how to stay safe by preparing ahead of time. During the class, we’ll also create our own emergency supply kits with essential items loaded in a pillowcase so that children can transport them easily during a disaster. While this class is open to all children, it is designed for school-aged children in kindergarten and above. This class is free, but you must register by 30 May by calling the Airman & Family Readiness Center at (316) 759-6020.
