Family Summer Reading Program- A Night at the Ball Park

The McConnell AFB Library is celebrating our two themes for the 2018 Summer Reading Program: “Libraries Rock!” and “Reading Takes You Everywhere” Throughout the summer, we will host a variety of programs for our patrons to enjoy. There will be interactive programs for families each week to encouraging movement and reading. Summer Reading is an opportune time for families to connect through fun. All programs take place in the Youth Center (located in Base Housing). All programs are free, but registration in the Summer Reading Program is required.
Join the Library at Lawrence Dumont Stadium to watch the Wingnuts go up against the Cleburne Railroaders! We will be at the Hard Ball Café to enjoy the game with slow-smoked pulled pork, all beef hot dogs, brats, baked beans, kettle chips, popcorn, peanuts, soda, and water! Sign-ups are required! Sign-Ups begin on 25 June 2018. Must be a patron of the Library and registered with the Summer Reading Program to participate.
Earn prizes and help the Base Library work toward their goal of 1.5 million minutes read by registering for the Summer Reading Program! Pick up your registration form from the Library, then log your minutes at https://mcconnellafblibrary.beanstack.org. Summer Reading sign-ups go between May 29, 2018, through July 26, 2018. Recording minutes can be between May 29, 2018, through July 24, 2018.
