It’s time for another CHOPPED competition and this time we’re inviting your budding culinary chefs. Join the Chisholm Trail Dining Facility on 11 June for CHOPPED Junior at 1:30pm (competitors please arrive by 12:30pm). Aimed at increasing awareness for healthy eating options, this year’s competition will feature 4 teams as they race to create a knock-your-socks-off dish with the ingredients provided in a 60-minute timed cook-off. And you can bet we haven’t forgotten the surprise “mystery” ingredient! Contestant must incorporate the mystery ingredient into their final product to be judged. Please note; If people go into the kitchen, they need to have sleeved shirts, a hat, and close-toed shoes.
The competition will take place in the Chisholm Trail Inn Dining facility and is open to everyone with base access. Judges will include 22 ARW leadership including Col Olson, Luke Olson, Chef Robert from WSU and Chef Terry from our DFAC! Please call 759-4555 to register your team today! Teams will consist of one youth (age 8-18 years), one parent, and one McConnell AFB military chef. Deadline to register is 24 May.
