Boater Safety Course

This comprehensive boating safety course is designed to ensure the safe operation of all motorized rental watercraft. Participants will learn about local water hazards, state boating laws, and the proper care and operation of motorized equipment. Completing this course qualifies you to rent motorized watercraft from Outdoor Recreation for two years.

Requirements:

• Must complete the online Boating Safety Certification before attending. The course is available at boatus.org. (Kansas Certification)
• Please bring a printed or digital copy of the certificate on or before the day of the class.
• Note: If you already have a Boaters License, you do not need the online course but must complete our in-person session to receive the McConnell Boater Safety Card, which is required for rentals.

Course Details:

• Full Course: $25 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Refresher Course: $5 | 9 – 10 a.m. (for those renewing their McConnell Boater Safety Card)
